How We Verify Dealers

    Every dealer on HotTubHunt is verified. Here's what that means and how we do it.

    Our Verification Process

    Before any dealer appears on HotTubHunt, we verify their legitimacy using multiple independent sources. We cross-reference public business registrations, confirm physical addresses via Google Places data, and validate contact information through direct outreach.

    We check that the business is currently operating, sells hot tubs as a primary or significant product line, and has a physical location customers can visit. Dealers that don't meet these criteria are not listed.

    What Badges & Ratings Mean

    Dealer ratings on HotTubHunt reflect aggregated Google review scores, updated regularly. We do not generate our own review scores or allow dealers to influence their rating.

    The "Verified" badge means we've confirmed the dealer's business information through our verification process. A "Claimed" badge means the dealer has taken ownership of their profile and actively manages their listing — but claiming a profile does not affect rankings or visibility.

    No Pay-for-Placement

    Dealers cannot pay for higher rankings, better visibility, or preferential placement on HotTubHunt. Search results and dealer recommendations are based on proximity, relevance, and verified review data — never on advertising spend.

    Our revenue comes from connecting interested buyers with local dealers through our quote-request system. Dealers pay a flat fee per qualified lead, not for rankings or reviews.

    Dealer-Claimed Profiles

    When a dealer claims their profile, they can update business details like hours, contact information, photos, and the brands they carry. This helps keep listings accurate and useful for buyers.

    Claimed dealers cannot edit their ratings, suppress reviews, or change how they appear in search results. The information buyers see — ratings, pricing data, and verification status — remains independent of the dealer's input.

    Report a Problem

    If you notice inaccurate dealer information — a wrong address, closed business, or misleading listing — we want to know. We investigate every report and correct verified issues within 48 hours.
